I am
equally comfortable working with photographs as well as from life. I
prefer working from studio quality photographs and has produced
excellent results. However if these are not of the desired
quality, I am prepared to travel the subject home or office. In
order to assemble the best images from which to work, the subject is
photographed under a variety of light conditions and different poses.
From these materials, I will choose several of the best portrait
concepts and confer with the client to select the final pose. I will
also execute a sketch from life if required. I also paint posthumous
portraits, and make best use of the available photographs.
Delivery is
arranged upon completion of the portrait. I will be pleased to assist
with the framing advice if the client so desires.
In the
event of travel to the subject home or office, the cost of travel and
lodging are paid by the client. A painting can take between two
to four months to complete. A 30% deposit is mandatory for the
commissioning of the portrait to secure a place in my schedule.
